    Welcome!

    Preview the U is designed to give you the complete University of Miami experience. Build your day to fit your interests. Choose multiple academic sessions hosted by our various schools and colleges (you can schedule multiple if you're unsure what you want to study!). Opt into a guided campus tour of our beautiful Coral Gables campus, admission presentation, or a Financial Aid 101. The day is yours to structure as you wish. By the time you leave, you'll be able to decide if the U felt like home.

    Event Schedule

    Here’s what your day at Preview the U will look like, with opportunities to explore academics, campus life, financial aid, and more.

    Check-In

    9:20 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.

    Start at the 3rd floor of the Shalala Student Center to check in, receive your materials, grab some coffee, and get ready for the day. Check-in opens at 9:20 a.m. Make sure to have your QR code ready to go - it will cover you and your guest(s).

    2

    Welcome Session

    9:50 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

    Kick off Preview the U with a special welcome from Undergraduate Admission. Our host will share important event information, highlight key opportunities throughout the day, and guide you on how to plan your campus visit experience.

    Rotating Sessions

    10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    The heart of your day. Choose from academic sessions, an admission presentation, financial aid 101, a campus tour, lunch, and more — build the mix that fits your interests.

    4

    Goodbye Grab & Go

    2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Stop by the 3rd floor of the Shalala Student Center to say goodbye and grab a sweet treat. P100 student ambassadors and admission staff members will be able to answer any last-minute questions.

    Rotating Sessions

    10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    During step 3 of your day, you’ll be able to choose from several sessions and experiences based on your interests.

    Academic Sessions

    Get an inside look at the schools or colleges that interest you most. Visit our majors page before your visit and decide which areas you would like to learn about. You will be able to schedule sessions with multiple schools/colleges.

    Admission

    An Admission Counselor hosts an information session covering academics, student life, hands-on learning, and the application process.

    Financial Aid 101

    Join the Office of Student Financial Assistance and Employment for an overview of financial aid at the University of Miami, including need-based aid, scholarships, grants, loans, work-study opportunities, and key application deadlines.

    Campus Tour

    Take a guided tour of our Coral Gables campus with one of our P100 student ambassadors.

    Lunch

    Enjoy lunch in our dining hall and experience what it's like to eat like a student on campus. Check out the Dine on Campus website to see the menu for the day.

    Academic Sessions

    Explore a few of the schools and colleges that shape the University of Miami experience and learn what each academic session may include for students and their families.

    College of Arts and Sciences

    The College of Arts and Sciences hosts a brief presentation on the opportunities and resources available to its students, followed by a live Q&A panel with current Canes covering all areas of knowledge. Be ready to ask your questions!

    Miami Herbert Business School

    You'll meet Miami Herbert undergraduate leadership during a brief presentation, then hear from a panel of students who discuss how hyper-personalization, the Miami advantage, and signature experiences propelled them to success.

    College of Engineering

    The College of Engineering hosts a brief presentation on the opportunities and experiences it offers, followed by a live Q&A panel with current Canes. Be ready to ask your questions!

    School of Education and Human Development

    The School of Education and Human Development session opens with an overview of academics, campus life, and co-curricular opportunities. Small-group conversations with the Associate Dean and student ambassadors will follow, introducing you to the community.

    School of Communication

    The School of Communication session offers an overview of our 10 academic programs, covering curriculum, career pathways, and hands-on learning, plus insight into student life from a student ambassador, followed by a Q&A.

    School of Architecture

    Meet the Associate Dean for an overview of the School of Architecture's professional degree curriculum and opportunities. A Q&A and studio tour with SOA Student Ambassadors will follow.

    Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science

    Join the Rosenstiel School for an overview of their undergraduate programs and research opportunities, followed by a panel where current students share their experiences and answer your questions.

    Frost School of Music

    The Frost School of Music hosts a Q&A led by the Director or Assistant Director of Admissions, so bring your questions! An optional tour of the Frost facilities will follow.

    School of Nursing and Health Studies

    The School of Nursing and Health Studies hosts a brief presentation covering the BSN, BSPH, and BSHS programs, career options, and student resources. A Q&A and an optional tour of the S.H.A.R.E. hospital's first floor will follow.
