On-Campus Open House

Whether you’re getting to know us or are ready to apply, we’d love to see you at Preview the U, our on-campus open house!

Current ’Canes are excited to share their insights on academics, internship opportunities, and student life. They’ll also guide you on a tour of our Coral Gables campus and fill you in on some of their favorite spots to study, grab a cafecito, and meet up with friends. Admission counselors will walk you through the admission process, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid.

Schedule for the Day

9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Lakeside Village Pavilion
Start off at Lakeside Village Pavilion to check in, receive your materials, and get ready for the day! Check-in begins at 9:00 am. Make sure to have your QR code ready to go which will cover you and your guest(s).

After check in, walk over to the Lakeside Expo Center where you can join our Academic Expo to meet representatives from our schools and colleges and learn more about our academic curriculum.

Optional: Arrive early to attend an optional Financial Aid information session at 9:30 a.m. in the Shalala Student Center.

10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Shalala Student Center
What sets the University of Miami apart from the rest? Find out about the academic opportunities and ’Cane life that make being a Miami Hurricane so unique. We’ll also cover the basics of the application process and the benefits of applying early.

11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Various locations

Academic Session
Consider your options for the school or college that interests you most by getting an inside look of the academics and unique opportunities that each one offers. Take a look at our majors by School or College page and decide what area you would like to learn about during your visit.

Campus Tour
Take a guided campus tour with one of our P100 student ambassadors who will show you around our Coral Gables Campus.

Lunch
Enjoy lunch in our dining hall and experience what it is like to eat like a student on campus! Our Dine on Campus website has all the information you need.

2:30 - 3:00 p.m. - Lakeside Expo Center and Pavilion
Grab a quick snack, chat with an admission counselor, and visit our campus resource expo to end your day at the U!

Parking Information

All event attendees bringing a car to campus are required to register their vehicle’s license plate with the University to avoid issuance of a parking citation. When parking in any lots on our campus, you must park head-in only.

Getting Here

Prepare for the Day

We want to ensure you are comfortable and get the most out of your time while on campus. Here are a few things you might want to keep in mind for your visit:

We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle
Bring a hat and/or sunglasses
Wear comfortable shoes, our campus is bigger than you think
Keep a poncho or umbrella handy
Despite our warm weather, the rooms are air-conditioned so bring an extra layer
