On-Campus Visit & Information Session
Can't find a session that fits with your schedule? No problem!
The University of Miami is an open campus, so you have the option to do a Self-Guided Walking Tour any time between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
This visit includes a 45 minute presentation with an admission counselor and current student followed by a campus tour. While we try to offer campus tours led by a current student, it is not guaranteed. If your event is titled "Self-Guided Tour" there will not be a student guide for the tour portion of your visit.
Please use the calendar on the right to see our current availability and register by selecting the event below. Due to limited space, registration is required for visiting students and a maximum of two guests which can be indicated under the “number of guests” section on the registration form.
- If you do not see a day or time that works for you, consider registering for a Self-Guided Walking Tour below.
- If you are unable to visit us in person, we offer a range of virtual opportunities.
- Group tours and field trips are available for groups of 15 or more. These visits are for high schools and community-based organizations that serve high school students, grades 9 through 12.
Please use the calendar on the right to pre-register so we know you are coming and can follow up with you after your visit. Remember to stop by the Office of Undergraduate Admission to say hello and pick-up your tour map or you can download our digital version. When booking your self-guided tour please keep in mind that the office of Undergraduate Admission is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on the weekends. The office may be closed on certain holidays, please review the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.

Miami is known for sunny skies, but with that comes warm weather and mercurial rain showers. To ensure you are prepared for your on-campus visit, we recommend bringing walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a small umbrella. Additionally, the presentation room can get quite cold, so bring a light sweater or jacket to stay comfortable. You’ll be walking the entire Coral Gables campus, so bring your selfie-stick for photo ops, and a list of questions you want to ask your tour guide (a current ’Cane!).
The Office of Undergraduate Admission reserves the right to cancel this event at any time. While we will try to offer campus tours led by a current student, we cannot guarantee this format. Please note campus tours can be canceled at any time due to weather, student schedules, and/or holiday breaks. There are limited or no Saturday on-campus visits and information sessions during holiday periods. Holiday periods include Martin Luther King Day (January 13, 2024), spring break (typically the second or third week in March), summer break (end of April through the end of August), Memorial Day (May 27, 2024), Juneteenth (June 19, 2024), Fourth of July, and Labor Day (September 2, 2024). Access to indoor space on the tour route may be restricted. We apologize for any inconvenience.
